The Return of Student Government

The return of a full in-person year has allowed for students to fully immerse themselves in their extra-curricular activities. Among Mepham’s many clubs, a new one has returned this year.

Mepham’s Student Government Club has made its way back into our community, and club advisor Ms. Geller hopes that the club can reignite the school spirit and Pirate pride that it had prior to COVID. Being online, the Mepham community wasn’t able to enjoy school-spirited events and extra-curricular activities in the way that they had hoped to; however, student government has already started to think of new ways to bring Mepham together. On November 10th, Mepham is having its very first Fall Festival where students can participate in games, challenges and enjoy food and music.

Overall, the event allows for that sense of community to return and throughout the year we expect to see other school-spirited events from Student Government.
