Starting off strong

Fiona Zheng, News Editor

As a new school year arrives, classes are starting, and late-night homework, study sessions, and gossiping about your classes also come. Instead of the bad, focus on the good. The start of a new school year means new opportunities. Which also means… it’s time to get involved!

Mepham has a variety of clubs and activities where you are able to get involved depending on your interest. Paw Patrol Club is one of those ways. Paw Patrol Club is a new club at Mepham for animal lovers dedicated to fundraising and volunteering for local animal shelters. They have a variety of activities planned that are not only fun but where you are able to partake in making a difference in the community.  So grab your friends and join Paw Patrol Club!

Speaking of new clubs, are you interested in the field of business, accounting, or love Mr. Slattery? If so, Young Investors Society is the club for you! Young Investors Society is a non-profit organization that now has a chapter open at Mepham High School, brought by Junior Haluk Yavas. YIS provides quality financial literacy education and programs to anyone. They aim to teach finance and investing skills that will last a lifetime and empower students to be educated financially for the future. Learn how to be a billionaire!

If you are an ambitious person who is trying to get more involved at Mepham High School, be on the lookout for posters all over the campus. Make this year a great year by being active with the new programs and clubs that our school has to offer, as well as the existing activities that have remained an integral part of the Mepham community throughout the years.
