On November 17, 2023, Mepham High School’s Skull and Bones Drama Club held their first showcase of the play Puffs, written by Matt Cox. The play was also performed on the following day, November 18, 2023. Tickets were sold for $10 online, and $15 at the door.
The play follows teenager Megan Jones, played by Alana Muniz, and her journey throughout the world of wizardry and witchcraft in a magical institute as a “Puff.” Throughout the play, we observe that Megan does not feel accustomed to the general personality of a “Puff”, which is friendly, sensitive, caring, and comedic. Quite the opposite, Megan’s outfit consists of a black ensemble, while the rest of the Puffs wear their affiliated yellow and black uniform. The comedic aspect of the play allowed the audience to enjoy a series of laughs throughout the performance, and by the end of the play, we can see Megan adapt into what it is like to be a Puff, with the help of her peers Oliver Rivers (Oliver Mattes), and Wayne Hopkins (Asher Chang).
Skull and Bones recently announced their spring musical Mean Girls; which will take place April 12 and 13.
