Summer 2023 Edition

The year is soon approaching an end, but that also means that a new year will be starting in a few months. Here is what is in store so far for Mepham in the 2023-2024 school year.
Mepham’s annual homecoming game will be a little different for the new year. The annual homecoming game usually takes place in the afternoon, along with the pep rally and Pirate Fest. However, in the approaching school year, homecoming will be a “night game.” The Pep rally will take place at approximately 3 pm with Pirate Fest following shortly after. Mr. DeMartinis says that there will be lights for when it starts to get dark and had the idea of a drone camera for the sports teams during the pep rally. The homecoming game will start around 5 pm, and halftime will be closer towards sunset in addition to the announcing of homecoming king and queen.
Furthermore, the winter ball, Mepham’s first school dance in almost ten years, will be returning for the new school year and will be bigger and better! Mepham’s annual Battle of the Classes will still remain the same as one of the most exciting events of the school year. Let’s anticipate seeing the new events and activities in store for the new school year!
