Summer 2023 Edition

The annual Met Gala, or Met Ball, was held on May 1, 2023 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The gala is a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. The event is given a theme every year in which the invited celebrities base their outfits off of. This year, the Met Gala’s theme, ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line Of Beauty’ honored Karl Lagerfeld, a German fashion designer, who was a regular Met Gala attendee.
This year’s Met Gala featured a multitude of interesting and unique outfits worn by invited celebrities. One of the most eye-catching outfits was Doja Cat’s cat outfit, where she dressed up as Karl Lagerfeld’s cat Choupette. She even wore facial prosthetics to really grasp the look of a cat.
Doja Cat was not the only attendee dressed as a feline. Jared Leto, dressed in a life-sized cat suit, also took on the role of Lagerfeld’s cat. Leto was dressed in a cat suit that also resembled Choupette, and was definitely one of the most unique outfits of 2023’s Met Gala.
